What it does

Murf AI is an AI voice platform built around text-to-speech. In Murf Studio you add a script, choose from Murf's library of AI voices, and generate a voiceover that you can fine-tune and export. Murf says it offers more than 200 voices, and its plan comparison lists more than 30 languages and accents.

Alongside Studio, Murf offers AI dubbing for translating video and audio into other languages, a voice changer that re-voices an existing recording with an AI voice, and an API for developers. Dubbing and the API are priced separately from the Studio plans.

Who it's for

Creators, marketers, educators and teams who produce narrated videos, presentations, e-learning and other voiceover content.

  • Integrations with common presentation and design tools
  • A free plan to try the editor before paying

How it compares to alternatives

Murf and ElevenLabs both turn text into AI speech, but they are organised differently. Murf centres on a voiceover studio with timing and pronunciation controls and plan limits in hours, while ElevenLabs uses monthly credits and covers a broader range of AI audio tools, including voice cloning from its Starter plan. Our editorial assessment

Editorial view: Murf is worth considering if your main job is producing polished voiceovers for videos, presentations or training content, and you want detailed control over timing and pronunciation in one editor. If you need voice cloning on a self-serve plan, or a wider set of AI audio tools, compare it with alternatives first.
